While I believe everyone is still unsure if there is a connection between the murder and the previous break in, one would hope additonal security would have been implemented. First of all get a dog, nice size dog even if it's a pocket dog is a great first line of defense because dogs hear noises that we sometimes can hear. Keep a shotgun handy, & never invite friends over that have a habit of inviting other people that you've never met before to your house. Never have large bushes or trees in front of your doorway or windows, & change your daily patterns. Never go to work at the same time everyday, never tell your neighbors what days you're off or if you'll be out of town on business or vacation. & if you're in for the night or day set your alarm system.
